Emmett Grogan: Twelve Stories

Join the Thompson-Nicola Regional Library and the Kamloops Society for the Written Arts on March 25th at 6:30PM (PST) for an event with author Emmett Grogan on YouTube Live. An Ontario-based author, Grogan will read from his novel Twelve Stories and speak on finding permission to write from some notable Canadian authors. This is northern Ontario CanLit at it’s finest. When writing Twelve Stories Grogan struggled for years to get the words down on the page. Reading Alice Munro’s works gave him permission to finish the story, and push it out into the world. This event is a pep talk for anyone who wants to be a writer, but is struggling to reconcile using deeply personal “hometown” experiences to make art. This event can be viewed live on the library’s YouTube channel. If you’d like to join the author & hosts on Zoom or by teleconference, please register at by contacting the library at 250-372-5145 or questions@tnrd.ca.

The event is finished.
